Call him crazy all you want, but Kanye West has perfected the rant.

Last night when Yeezy called into The Angie Martinez Show, I thought, ‘he’s done it again.’ He gave the world a little bit of crazy and a whole bunch of knowledge at the same damn time.

‘Ye’s come a long way from telling the world that George Bush does not like black people, his first incoherent piece of brilliance that made the world fall in love with his brand. Kanye’s rants took on a life of their own, both at awards shows and on and off stage. Backstage at the MTV Awards. On stage at the Grammys: “Y’all might as well get the music ready, because this is going to take a while.”

He always provided us with the perfect mix, but then something happened.

Something named Taylor Swift. It was too much crazy and not enough brilliance.

Since then, Yeezy has figured it out. He stopped by a Minnesota radio station and figured it out. He said things like the media, “Basically tried to comprise me and beat me into the submission of regular walking down the streetness.”

And:

“Taylor this 12 year old…18 year-old girl… me cutting her off showed a lack of compassion with everything she went [through] to deserve this one moment. That caused her to like go off and have 100 magazine covers and sell million in the first week. That shouldn’t even be categorized with the greatest living artist that we have to date to be put in the same category. It’s just disrespectful, it’s retarded!”

Kanye figured out that he is who he is and he’s totally OK with that. He doesn’t see himself as arrogant, he doesn’t see himself through the eyes of anyone else but himself.

‘Ye has made an artform of the rant. It’s the sole reason he’s the guy who doesn’t do press, but gets the most press, kid.

He speaks more truth with one rant than 10 Oprah interviews – if people would just let him talk.

They say a man can be an artist at anything, well, Yeezy’s art is ranting. It’s just a matter of time before he paints his masterpiece.

No other entertainer, actor, musician, or anyone else could speak their mind, stand by everything they say and go home to sleep great at night.

When Mel Gibson does it, we pray that he gets help. When Charlie Sheen does it, we pray that he gets clean. When Yeezy does it, we debate if he’s crazy or if he’s brilliant. He keeps us talking and apparently, he keeps Sway entertained.

Because you do know he gave Sway his first television, but don’t take my word for it.

I mean, I gave Sway his first TV, man. He came over to my crib in Newark, New Jersey, I was living in Newark doing beats for Jay and Beans and all them, and I was getting a new TV and I gave Sway his first TV. I didn’t really wanna like even call to talk about the number seven list, I just wanna tell everybody I gave Sway his first TV. And he need to remember that. *hangs up*
