After allegedly shooting himself in the neck area right before his capture, which hindered his ability to speak, Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is doing better and spilling the beans.
A law enforcement official said that Tsarnaev is awake in a Boston hospital, and though not able to speak yet, he is responding by writing.
However, though investigators have been waiting to interrogate Tsarnaev, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis told reporters that Tsarnaev was still “not in any condition to be interrogated.” He said the suspect’s condition has only stabilized in “the last few hours.”
Officials also admitted that it will take some time before agents are able to review information that prompted the Russian government to ask the FBI in 2011 to review the activities of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older brother who died in a gunfight with police in Watertown.
Slowly but surely, information will be released. But it’s looking like we’ll get some answers straight from the horse’s mouth, if Tsarneav decides to cooperate when he can finally speak.
