Can’t say we didn’t see this coming.

Mac Miller and Skateboard P fans have been waiting patiently over the past year for their collaborative Pink Slime EP, and after months of silence, Mac finally admits that the project is delayed.

Last summer, Mac and Pharrell released their first collaborative offering “Onaroll,” but fans haven’t heard much from the unlikely pair since.

During an interview with Hot 97, Mac Miller revealed he wanted to focus on branding himself before mixing his his brand with Pharrell’s veteran brand.

“The Pink Slime with Pharrell was the next move for awhile. So I was going down there [to Miami, Florida]. We were working. I just realized it wasn’t time to do that yet, the Pharrell project. Before I take my brand and mix it with Pharrell’s, I want to solidify what my brand is first. So I want to do my album first.”

The move is smart on Mac’s behalf, but hopefully, fans will get to hear more Mac and Pharrell collaborations in the near future.

Mac is currently readying his sophomore album, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, due out later on this year.
