Police have confirmed that a seventh person has been arrested in connection with the New Orleans Mother’s Day shooting.

The suspect is now the fifth person accused of harboring one of the two men who were accused in the shooting that injured 19 people last Sunday.

She joins the four others arrested and charged with accessory after the fact of attempted second-degree murder.

The other four arrested and charged with accessory after the fact of attempted second degree murder are: Nekia Youngblood, 32, Bionca Hickerson, 22, Brandy George, 28, and Justin Alexander, 19.

Pepe also is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.

Earlier this week, New Orleans police identified Akein Scott, 19, as the suspected gunman in the shooting and his brother Shawn, 24, who also participated in the crime and arrested him Thursday morning. Both have been charged with 20 counts of attempted second-degree murder.
