Did you hear the really sad news? Last night at the Webbys the creator of gifs, Steve Wilhite, said this:
“It’s pronounced JIF, not GIF.”
We don’t like this. Last time we checked, Jif was peanut butter.
And Gif, well, it’s spelled with a “G,” not a “J.”
If it was supposed to be pronounced Jif, well, it would be spelled “Jif.”
Most people on social media are protesting. The best tweet goes to:
