Rehab is reportedly helping Amanda Bynes make progress as she’s still in an extended stay in a psych ward. Though the multi-millionaire wanted to get her act together just in time to remain financially free, her parents were granted a temporary conservatorship on Friday.

Richard and Lynn Bynes will control Amanda’s medical treatment if she is released from the psych ward, as well as her personal and monetary affairs – their daughter reportedly spent $1.4 million in just months on drugs, hotel bills, and more.

Amanda’s parents’ first big decision will be to move her into a private facility, according to reports. A source told RadarOnline:

“Lynn wants Amanda in a more private facility. It could happen as soon as this week. She will get better care at a private facility.”

The temporary conservatorship goes into effect on September 30th and if Britney Spears is the rule of thumb in guiding troubled child stars back to the right path, Amanda Bynes will benefit from the judge’s decision.
