Yesterday was day one of the Made In America Music Festival in Philadelphia, PA, and it was definitely historic to say the least.

With almost brutally hot weather, some of the most dedicated fans waited in the sweltering heat for some of the big name artists.

For me, personally, it was my first time at MIA, or really my first outdoor music festival in general…and to say I was full of emotions was an understatement.

My day started off with such high hopes once I was in that security and ticket line:

Then, the heat really started slapping me in the face (no, literally, I have a little sunburn to prove it):

After walking around searching for sunglasses or even some sunscreen, I headed over to A$AP Rocky at the main stage, pretty excited to think he might bring out A$AP Ferg:

Unfortunately, Rocky was almost 30 minutes late into his set, and waiting for this man meant that shit got real in the crowd:

Once he came on, most of us were like:

But then he did “Wild For The Night” and we pretty much all went ape shit:

Since A$AP was late, we didn’t have to wait too long for 2 Chainz to come kill the stage (RIP, by the way):

The man was just about on time, with most of the crowd at the peak of their intoxication:

2 Chainz ran through all, and we mean all, of his features and hits in his 45 minute set. Even the white girls were like:

Well, not all of them:

After 2 Chainz, most of the crowd was trying to kill time before Beyonce. So, most of us either checked out Phoenix and Dead Mau5. The crowd for Dead Mau5 really turnt it up:

You would think some guy on stage was doing this with how crazy the crowd went:

Next up, the moment we’d been waiting for was finally here! The lights go off:

Suddenly, a figure emerges, and we’re all just like with our friends:

Queen Bey has come to bless us all. And we just couldn’t get enough of her. Most of the Beyhive in the crowd was doing all of her moves with her like:

When her set ended and I was on my way out, I did hear some people ask me if they thought Beyonce’s set was “too much talent”:

I was sad to see Beyonce end, then we all remembered that there’s a day two!
