When GQ invites you to a red carpet event, you better bring your fashion A-Game.

Thankfully all the celebrities in attendance at last night’s GQ Men of the Year Awards fit the bill, as London’s Royal Opera House lit up with the arrivals of some of the most famously well-dressed faces in the industry.

For the fellas in attendance – which ranged from Senor “Suit and Tie” himself, Justin Timberlake, to Mr. Bad Mother watchyourmouth Samuel L Jackson – the dress code was pretty straight forward: a well-tailored suit, with a touch of GQ flair. As for the women, some of whom included Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Jessie J, it was red carpet glamour to the max.

Check out the arrival photos from the GQ Men of the Year Awards in the photos below.

Ellie Goulding went for a feathery frock from Julien Macdonald’s Fall 2013 collection paired with silver Rupert Sanderson ‘Moiki’ pumps.

Jourdan Dunn was a stone face stunner in a deep plunge Hugo Boss dress.

Jessie J kept it all black in a micro bandeau paired with a Persy Yaniv fishtail maxi skirt.

Emma Watson was a fresh faced beauty in Balenciaga.

The BMF himself, Samuel L Jackson, went all black in Armani. Very sleek.

Alexa Chung kept it classic in Carven with a pop of an orange lip.

Pharrell and his fiancee (or wife, who knows with him) were both draped in Lanvin for the red carpet.

Then there was Russell Brand.

Rita Ora was a vision in Etro’s black and yellow gown. Look at that innovative eyeliner!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley went for all white in a smoking Versace dress. She knows how to play up that sex appeal.
