The government shutdown has effected millions of workers all over the country who are currently out of work, or working with no pay.

While Congress keep holding meeting after meeting with no progress in sight just yet, they are still receiving a paycheck during the shutdown.

Republican Lee Terry was asked by Omaha World-Herald Bureau whether he was going to keep his paycheck, to which he replied:

“Dang straight”

He also remarked on his thoughts of other members of Congress giving up their paychecks:

“Whatever gets them good press. That’s all that it’s going to be. God bless them. But you know what? I’ve got a nice house and a kid in college, and I’ll tell you we cannot handle it. Giving our paycheck away when you still worked and earned it? That’s just not going to fly.”

What do you guys think of members of Congress keeping their paychecks?
