The government shutdown is really taking a toll on the country, and mostly Washington D.C., which has led to a lot of criticism against President Obama.

Protestors gathered at the Million Vet March On The Memorials this past weekend, and one rallier stirred up some controversy as he went off on POTUS.

Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch told the crowd:

“I call upon all of you to wage a second American nonviolent revolution, to use civil disobedience, and to demand that this president leave town, to get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come out with his hands up.”

During the first day of the shut down, the World War II Open-Air memorial in D.C. was barred off to veterans, but was opened back up with the help of Republican members of Congress.

Obama and his administration has had to take most of the blame for the closure of memorials, which protestors believe to be a “political ploy”

He continued:

“This is the people’s memorial. Let me ask a simple question. Why is the federal government spending money to erect barricades to keep veterans out of this memorial?” he asked. “Our veterans should be above politics. Enough games.”

“You look around though and you see these barricades and you have to ask yourself, is this any way that a commander in chief would show his respect, his gratitude to our military? This is a matter of shutdown priorities.”

Also in attendance of the rally were tea party members Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, and Mike Lee, who all voiced their opinions on the shutdown.

Palin made some pretty strong remarks, stating that President Obama is using veterans as “pawns” in the government funding standoff.

Sarah told the crowd:

“We are here to honour our vets. You look around though and you see these barricades and you have to ask yourself is this any way that a commander in chief would show his respect, his gratitude to our military. This is a matter of shutdown priorities.”

Do you guys think the protestors are going too far or do they have the right to remove the barricades?
