NAACP Image Award-nominated series Lexus Verses and Flow, hosted by the popular actor and poet Omari Hardwick, is currently in full swing during its 3rd season.

To celebrate the success of the show we’ve created an exclusive web series featuring legendary poet Black Ice as he provides his point of view on the new season of Verses and Flow.

In case you’re unfamiliar with his work, Black Ice is a respected and celebrated poet from Russell SimmonsDef Poetry Jam who’s known for combining social and racial issues with his hip-hop flow and sophisticated vocabulary. Black Ice has appeared on distinguished stages such as the Live 8 concert special in Philadelphia, BET’s Rap City, 106 & Park, and even Def Poetry on Broadway. He’s also received the Hip-Hop Quotable Award from The Source Magazine, and has been featured in national television and radio advertising campaigns for BET and VH1.

In the first webisode, Black Ice discusses what you’ve missed so far and what we can expect from Season 3 of Verses and Flow, promising diversity as well as a plethora of poetry topics ranging from racism to love, all explored from unexpected and interesting perspectives.
