Well well well… What is this we have here? It’s Katy Perry cuddled up with Niall Horan of One Direction!… BUT it’s not quite what you think.
The two got cozy for an “engagement selfie” that Niall captioned on his Instagram:
“She said yes! It’s happening! Haha.”
But it’s all just a friendly joke and least we think it is being that Katy is seriously involved with Mr. John Mayer.
One Direction and Katy crossed paths in Tokyo when she was there to promote her new album and 1D was there for a concert. The band mate showed off another group shot with the pop star, captioning it:
“Me and my groomsmen and my lovely wife hahahaha.”
You know what they say, “behind every joke is a bit of truth.” Does John Mayer have to keep an eye out?… We doubt it!
In related news, Katy is speaking her mind on her rumored rival with with fellow pop singer, Lady Gaga. She recently told Entertainment Weekly:
“Gaga and I like to publicly dismiss it because it’s not healthy. You want to feel music. You want it to resonate and relate to you. You can’t look at it like a competition because you ruin the reason why you love music. But I think that sometimes our fan groups are so big and strong, they use it as ammunition.”
Right on! Who says there’s only room for one Queen of Pop anyway?
