After a Kate Upton monopoly on the last two covers, Sports Illustrated is going in a different direction to celebrate their 50th anniversary issue – three different directions to be precise.
For the first time since 2006, Sports Illustrated is featuring three models on their swimsuit issue cover. Victoria’s Secret models Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge, along with Chrissy Teigen, were announced as the cover stars of the magazine when the above photo was unveiled Thursday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The issue doesn’t hit newsstands until next week, but thanks to Chrissy, we already know that the three made fast friends while shooting the cover. Teigen said they instantly bonded as buddies and got along swimmingly during the shoot in the Cook Islands off the coast of New Zealand. When you’re practically naked on a beach, it’s hard not to make friends.
