Look up in the sky. It’s a bird, no it’s plane, nah kid…it’s Superwoman! That’s right Jennifer Hudson is back (cape and all), with hot new shit. “Walk It Out” features Hudson’s magic pipes behind the wizardry of super producer Timbaland. Hudson keeps it grown (she even let’s a few curses slip) and super sexy. J Hud has always been bad but her new look is scrumptious…You Go Gurrrl..

Asher Roth is one of the most slept on rappers in the hip-hop business. Maybe its because he can really spit metaphors and not just 1,2 punchlines that rhyme. This new Blended Babies produced track “Last of The Flohicans” is Roth at his finest. Its got that part spring break, part big festival music vibe to get you ready for the hot summer.

It seems like Pharrell Williams is recreating the soundtrack to… life.  I mean, seriously, his “Happy” song is all over everything, everywhere. His album G I R L is a certified smash, even on Mars. I heard that he did the score for the new Spider-Man 2 film with the great Hans Zimmer. “Here…” is one of his new tracks for you, and it’s a smash.

Riot music in hip-hop has it’s mainstay these days with rappers who are from all points between the ATL and Chi Town. Rich The Kid’s “Rich N*gga Shit” is a guilty pleasure for anybody that ‘fux’ with that “ratchetness.”  And the young and ratchet reign supreme if your in the scene. The kid K Camp is everywhere these days, including on this track.

When you talk about modern riot music, we have to revisit the originators from M.O.P.  That’s right. Mash Out Posse originated the riot/ mosh scene in rap with classics like “How About Some Hardcore” and “Ante Up.” Needless to say it was dope to see this new M.O.P Uncle Murda track “Back Block.” It’s good to see rap’s heavyweights from 90’s still creating.
