California knows how to party.

Last night, the very first iHeartRadio Music Awards went down at Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium, and it was nothing short of entertaining. While Usher announced the world premiere of Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake’s “Love Never Felt So Good” single, Rihanna received the coveted “Artist Of The Year” award.

To celebrate the inaugural iHeartRadio award show, Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar performed a tribute to Tupac and Dr. Dre by performing their hip-hop classic “California Love” with 150 fans on stage.

Yours Truly pop starlet Ariana Grande performed her platinum-selling single “The Way,” and performed her new Iggy Azalea-assisted single “Problem” for the first time since debuting it at the Disney Music Awards last week.

After receiving the “Innovator” award, Pharrell performed a medley of hits including “Happy,” “Get Lucky,” “Blurred Lines,” and his new single “Come Get It Bae.”

He also reunited with his longtime friend Gwen Stefani for the first time in years. The two artists both announced their residency as judges on NBC’s The Voice next season.
