Drop those pencils and leave the tweezers right where they are. You read that title correctly–lace-front eyebrows. They’re a thing now. And they’re exactly what they sound like.

They’re the latest buzz in big brow beauty–we blame you, Cara Delevingne. They’re the “little sister” to lace-front wigs and are made in a similar manner: small hairs are sewn onto layers of lace that are shaped into eyebrows. Using an adhesive, they can then be applied directly to the face.

They sound weird, we know. But as Refinery 29 mentions, they’re actually pretty practical, especially for post-chemo patients or anyone suffering from hair loss, and to be honest, they’re a much better alternative than all the overdrawn and overplucked eyebrows we’ve seen out there.

A pair of lace-front eyebrows might cost around $40, and the best part is that they can last for up to 2-4 months–that’s 2-4 months of being spared the agony of threading or waxing, which sounds pretty appealing.
