What were you doing when you were 15? Probably chasing girls or hanging out with friends or playing sports. In other words, wasting time.

Well at 15, Alex Shamuelov wasn’t wasting time. He was a young apprentice to his father, who was a barber.

That early work paid off: because now, at the age of 20, Alex has his own barbershop. Located in the Lower East Side section of Manhattan, Ace of Cuts is a brand new dope spot to get a haircut at.

For $15 (which is cheap for NYC) you can get a haircut while sitting in plush leather chairs and watching one of the many 65-inch TVs. What’s particularly dope about the spot is that there are mirrors all over the place, so you can basically see the TV from anywhere in the shop.

(Also, drinking is not discouraged here. Don’t be surprised to see Alex throw you a beer while waiting for your haircut.)
