Details surrounding the death of Simone Battle are emerging, and they are quite saddening.
The 25-year-old G.R.L. member was found dead in her home on Friday by her boyfriend, according to reports, and they now believe that the cause of death was an apparent suicide.
According to TMZ, law enforcements found Simone hanging from a rod in her bedroom’s closet around 8:30 AM on Friday morning. An official cause of death will be reached after her autopsy.
Being that she was a former contestant on the X-Factor, Simon Cowell took the news pretty hard.
He tweeted about the news:

As far as her family goes, Simone’s father is having a tough time dealing with his daughter’s death, as he didn’t see any signs of a suicide coming.
According to TMZ, Anthony Battle revealed that he texted his daughter every day, and she seemed to be doing just fine and never once showed signs of depression.

In fact, he says Simone was excited about where her career was heading. G.R.L. had recorded and released a song with Pitbull earlier this year.
We’re told close friends of the 25-year old singer spoke with her via text the night before her death — they also didn’t sense anything was wrong.
When we asked Anthony if Simone was battling depression … he said he was unaware of anything like that, but acknowledged … “It’s possible she may have had an invisible disability.”
