The Limited’s Scandal-inspired collection is almost here.
Dedicated Olivia Pope fans have been chomping at the bit since the womanswear brand announced the impending collection last June. With the new line – and the new season of Scandal – just about a week away, we’ve got a little sneak peek of a few elegant and affordable show-inspired looks, as well as a behind the scenes video detailing the designer’s creative process.
The collection will include 78 different items ranging in price from $49 to nearly $280.
You can get a more detailed look at the collection in this month’s InStyle. The magazine’s feature spotlights an adorable pink wrap coat, retailing for $274, a white double-breasted cape-sleeve trench on sale for $198, a $168 greenish-blue satin gown, and a pair of double plain weave pants, which will cost $98.
The Limited’s plan is to market the clothing as “fearless fashion for ladies who lead.” The idea came from a Good Morning America segment during which Kerry Washington and costume designer Lyn Paolo used phrases such as “power dressing” and “fabulous and fearless.”
The collection goes on sale September 23, just two days before the Season Four premiere of Scandal on ABC.
