Everyone is talking about the zombie apocalypse. AMC’s The Walking Dead is the most tweeted-about show on television, according to Twitter and Nielsen, who got together for the report.
According to People:
For 2014, The Walking Dead was the most-Tweeted TV show (#RIPBeth), followed by the reality show hate-watch The Bachelor and the ever-popular Pretty Little Liars, according to the Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings.
American Horror Story: Freak Show clocked in at fourth, which is pretty impressive given that the season hasn’t even ended yet, and HBO’s Game of Thrones came in at fifth.
As for who makes the most money? That’s Jennifer Lawrence. The Hunger Games star was named the highest grossing actress in Hollywood for 2014. Her films pulled in a whopping $1.4 billion. Variety reports:
Coming in at number two is “Parks and Recreation” hunk Chris Pratt, as “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “The Lego Movie” made a combined $1.2 billion.
It’s not all love in Hollywood, though. People are already hating on the civil rights film Selma. Joseph A. Califano Jr, a former Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare under Lyndon B. Johnson, wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post bashing Oscar hopeful Selma for almost no valid reason.
According to Variety, Califano, stresses that his recollections of 1965 are different from some scenes in the Ava DuVernay-directed film. He concludes with the sentence, “The movie should be ruled out this Christmas and during the ensuing awards season.”
He goes on to suggest that LBJ and MLK were partners in Selma, which is exactly what Ava’s movie claims – even if they didn’t always see things eye-to-eye.
Ava responded back to the critics:

Seems like senseless hate.
Speaking on hate, Lost River, Ryan Gosling‘s directorial debut, won’t be making it to theaters after getting trashed at the Cannes Film Festival. Instead, Warner Bros has decided Lost River will go straight to DVD and Home Entertainment.
Variety’s Justin Chang gave it a pan: “‘Lost’ is indeed the operative word for this violent fairy tale about a fractured family trying to survive among the ruins of a city overrun by thugs, sexual predators and other demons….”
Ouch.
