We’re used to seeing the shy and composed side of Kendall Jenner, but make no mistake: she’s not afraid to have fun.

In a new spread with V Magazine, the young supermodel straddles a huge dog and goes grunge glam in a series of black and white photos. She also rocks Calvin Klein undies, because as the face of a denim campaign for the brand, of course she would.

Also in the issue, which features Rihanna on the cover, Kendall opens up about her rise in the fashion world and how her famous last name initially hurt her career.

“You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back. It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager. I am so grateful to Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld, and Katie Grand, who took a chance on me that first season and gave me an opportunity. My parents taught me that work ethic is one of the most important keys in life, and I believe it.”

As the editor-in-chief of Love magazine, Katie Grand featured Kendall on more than one occasion, while Jacobs, Tisci, and Lagerfeld have included Kendall in their runway shows. Now, you can see her face on Calvin Klein billboards in New York City and Los Angeles.

“This will be my first billboard on Sunset, which I’m ecstatic about,” she explained. “It’s really humbling, and honestly, I am a pretty shy person, but being part of the Calvin campaign and seeing myself up there will be a dream come true. I might have to eat every night at the Chateau Marmont with that hanging over my shoulder,” she said. “‘Oh yeah, that little thing? I didn’t notice!'”

The issue hits stands on May 7th.
