Ever since Kanye West announced that he plans to run for President in 2020, social media has been in a frenzy with either very positive, or very critical statements on his decision.

Amongst the current candidates, Donald Trump is stirring up the most controversy with his own statements, but it looks like he is open to the rapper one day being part of the polls.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, the entrepreneur was asked about Yeezy’s future presidency campaign plans, to which he replied:

“He’s said very nice things about me in the past… extremely positive things.”

“I was actually watching, I saw him [announce his candidacy on the VMAs], and I said, ‘That’s very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea?'”

He also addressed him and Kanye being compared to each other, which Jimmy Kimmel has sparked further in a segment:

“I don’t quite get that.”

Trump continued, stating he wants to see Kanye next to him while he runs for President:

“He’s actually a different kind of person than people think. He’s a nice guy. I hope to run against him someday.”

What are your thoughts on Donald Trump’s statements about Kanye?
