Kanye West Taylor Swift

Well, that was a short-lived truce.

While Kanye West was buying jewelry at Jacob & Co. in New York City, Taylor Swift was busy accepting the “Album of the Year” award at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

The 1989 singer took time to address Kanye’s “Famous” jab during her acceptance speech. After thanking the Academy and her fans, Taylor fired off a few subliminal shots at her archenemy – Yeezus.

“As the first woman to win album of the year twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or you fame,” Taylor said.

“But if you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world,” continued.

Taylor’s speech seems to be a response to Kanye’s verse, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous,” on his The Life Of Pablo album.

Kanye defended his verse about Taylor, claiming the singer was well aware of the lyrics and thought the song was funny.
