This is either an honest mistake, or a very sinister dig at the Jewish community.
Over the weekend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performed a secret show at Seattle’s EMP Museum. To celebrate the new art exhibit and surprise fans, Macklemore (seen pictured above) disguised himself by wearing a black bowl cut wig, a coarse beard, and a witch’s nose.
While Macklemore claims the costume was randomly put together, members of the Jewish community claim foul and accuse the “Same Love” rapper of being anti-Semitic.
Even Hollywood actor Seth Rogen commented on Macklemore’s stereotypical costume:
.@macklemore, first you trick people into thinking you’re a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you’re Jewish? pic.twitter.com/3rtaE4GHje

Macklemore shot back at Seth’s claims, stating:
.@macklemore really?? Because if I told someone to put together an anti Semitic Jew costume, they’d have that exact shopping list.

The “Thrift Shop” rapper has prided himself on being a very tolerant member of the hip-hop community by supporting gay marriage and taking a stand against racism, so it seems a little odd that he would make this stereotypical transgression. Tell us what you think below.
