Sorry Glee fans!

After the death of Cory Monteith last week, the season 5 production of the hit show that made him a star might not be appropriate to run so soon.

With all of the changes that are going to most likely be made to production, it makes the most sense to give everyone more time to prepare for an emotional season.

Fox has released a statement regarding the change:

“In light of the tragic passing of beloved GLEE cast member Cory Monteith, the series’ executive producers, 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company have jointly decided to delay the start of production of GLEE until early August.”

The season is supposed to premiere on September 19th, but is now going to hit our televisions on September 26th.

In the meantime, Lea Michele, Cory’s girlfriend at the time of his death, has been trying to mourn in private, but the way she found out is now going public.

According to Us Weekly, a source revealed the Glee superstar found out about her boyfriend’s tragedy through a phone call around noon on July 13th.

The source said:

“Lea completely lost her mind. She went crazy, screaming and crying until 3 a.m.”

“Lea has been inconsolable and feels like she’s been hit by a truck. She didn’t know he’d started using again.”

“She’s been talking with Cory’s family the entire time and wants to plan the whole funeral. She’s not doing great. She’s totally devastated.”

We hope that Lea can make it through alright, and we pray for Cory’s loved ones.
