During the Olympic games earlier this summer, gymnastics princess Gabby Douglas went through a lot before winning gold.
Not only did she have to deal with pressure, but she also faced a lot of petty scrutiny over her hair.

It turns out, this isn’t the only time that Gabby has faced criticism. She’s revealed that like many kids today, she was bullied as a child.
The superstar gymnast sat down with Oprah for the next episode Oprah’s Next Chapter, and she revealed what her childhood was like on her way to the top.
She also goes on to say it felt like she was isolated and that she was being treated “different.”

Not only is it hard to get a gold medal physically, but it can also take an emotional toll, so we can’t imagine how much of challenge it was for Gabby to finally achieve her dreams.
