Madonna was not the first female sex symbol, but she undoubtedly elevated what we expect from our female pop stars. With her choreography, singing and edgy lyrics, Madge caused controversy, pandemonium and spoke for the new American woman.

VIDEO: GIRLS GONE WILD! Madonna Bares Her Boobs For Istanbul!

During the ’80s, ’90s and early ’00s, Madonna was desired by men and women of all ages. Madonna made what was once controversial normal, and she had no problem living up to her standards recently at her concert in Istanbul.

Which brings me to our topic, after all of these years, would you smash or pass on Madonna?

The two icons nominated for a smashable (see what I did there?) are Madonna and Lady Gaga. Comparable for their times, what Madonna did for female sexuality and expression in the ’80s, Gaga is doing for the LGBT community in the 2010s. They both progressed music and society simultaneously.

Whether we tell about the newest partner or not depends entirely on the guy, but at the end of the day, everyone wants the opportunity to smash icons like these. Personally I prefer older women, they know what their doing and let’s keep it g, what haven’t they done?

Madonna’s going on 53 and has been with nearly every important figure in entertainment in the past 30 years. From Basquiat to Sean Penn to Tupac to Guy Ritchie, she has experienced all that the world has to offer. Gaga on the other hand has only notably been with two men: Luc Carl and Taylor Kinney.

While I admire Gaga’s dedication to monogamy, instincts tell me a tryst would be monotony. My smashable award without question goes to Madonna. She’s a legend, an icon and the best selling female musician in history. While she may be past her prime, I doubt she’s lost her touch.
