Sometimes doing diva-type things isn’t always going to keep the backlash away.
Rihanna might have upset a highschool full of teenagers in Chicago, considering she was set to meet them, but showed up 3 hours late!
After the Barrington High School students won first place in the ‘Shine Like A Diamond’ contest, the 25-year-old Bajan beauty wanted to meet the winners herself and congratulate them.

Apparently, due to traffic and other reasons, she turned up at the event three hours late!
Radar Online reports that kids were tweeting their frustration from her tardiness and threatening to leave if she didn’t come after the first hour and a half.
She got their hopes up when she tweeted an hour and a half in that she was on her way, but due to Chicago traffic she didn’t get there until another hour and a half after the fact.

When she finally showed up, Rihanna told the students a quick message before taking some snaps with them:
“I was so impressed and touched seeing the video,” she said. “I wanted to come and express that to you in person.”
Apparently, RiRi only stayed at the school for a total of 12 minutes! But the tardiness didn’t seem to mess up Ri Ri’s flow at all. She shared flicks from her time in the Chi, which included chocolate diamonds, cupcakes and new gear.
What a life!
