Serena Williams has come under fire over a twitter picture that some deemed too sexy. Serena had a stalker, who was arrested and claimed to keep track of her via twitter. So when tennis champion uploaded this new sexy picture people criticized and which ended up in her taking down the photo.
Well, I for one says put it back up. It’s not her fault she’s sexy, and she shouldn’t be ashamed of her body. Serena shouldn’t have to cover up because she has a stalker. If she does then the stalker wins.
Britney Spears had a stalker, she’s still shows off her sexy, walks around braless, wear bikinis and shakes what her mama gave her in video shoots and on tour. Paris Hilton has a stalker who tried to break into her house while she was inside, she tweeted a picture of him getting arrested. To this day it still seems like Paris Hilton is topless every other day and to my knowledge she still doesn’t wear underwear.
All I am saying is that you cannot allow someone to change the way you are living because of fear. This is America and Serena Williams has the right to express herself anyway she wants. She can represent her sexuality via twitter, facebook, myspace or match.com however she likes because this is the home of the free. So to let a crazy person keep her from doing what you want to do, goes against everything we stand for in America.
It was Ben Franklin who said, “Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security.” Serena should put her picture back up, because the only way Serena can not be sexy is if she wears a blanket and even then I’d still try to holla.
What will we do when Serena gets back on the tennis court? Create a public outcry for her to play tennis in a snow suit? When she goes to the beach will we ask her to wear full scuba gear? She cannot run from her body, she is sexy, she is curvy and she is beauty. She shouldn’t hide it. Especially for a stalker! I urge Serena Williams to put the picture back up today! It’s the American way.
