Lil Wayne made headlines when he suffered from multiple seizures last week, landing him in the hospital. After spending six days in the intensive care unit at Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Hospital, Lil Wayne has now been released, but the hearts of many still go out to his final recovery.

On the Facebook page of the Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation, an organization founded in honor of Emmett Till’s life, the family posted their concerns for Lil Wayne, stating:
“Certainly the family of Emmett Till is praying for Lil Wayne’s recovery. . . Wayne IS a HuMAN, just as Emmett Till was.”
Despite Lil Wayne’s disregard for Emmett Till’s legacy, it’s nice to see Emmett Till’s family turn the other cheek and support Lil Wayne.
