As music lovers prepare for the South By Southwest music festival to officially kick off, Jay-Z hits us with some exciting news.

Daddy Jigga will be heading down south to put on for his city in the eclectic city of Austin. Jay-Z has teamed up with American Express to live-stream his performance for everyone who isn't able to attend the highly anticipated music melee. 

Jay-Z will perform on Monday, March 12 and his performance will be live-streaming from AMEX YouTube at 8 p.m. EST. 

But what's really going to make Jay's performance pop is the use of Twitter during his show. Although Jay isn't the most vocal celeb on Twitter, he will be watching his mentions to decide what songs he will be performing next.

Using hashtags like #JayZSyncShow and #Song with your favorite track following will prompt Jay to perform his most requested tracks from Twitter at SXSW.
