If you’re unfamiliar with hip-pop duo PM Dawn, when you hear their song below, you’ll definitely know who they are. They took ’90s music to another level with their hit song “Set Adrift On Memory Bliss” where they mixed hip-hop with classical sounds and pop beats. Most notably, this track heavily samples the 1983 Spandau Ballet song “True.” PM Dawn’s track went number one on the Billboard charts.
Amid their success, PM Dawn ended up in a little rap beef with legendary rapper KRS-ONE. Group member Prince B made a comment about KRS-ONE wanting to be a teacher, which resulted in KRS-ONE and his team interrupting a PM Dawn performance and forcing the group off stage.
