As the days and hours tick away, a potential government shutdown approaches and tea party Republicans are leading the fight.

There cannot be any negotiation or compromise if the tea party has their way. Buckling under the pressure of tea party Republicans, meeting in the middle has become increasingly difficult.

STORY: Free Barack From This Madness! Gov’t Shutdown Looms…

Why has the tea party emerged as the most dominant party in the country? It appears there is no longer a Republican party. It has merged into something else. The intense voices coming from the tea party are holding the country hostage and if they aren’t checked soon, our government will undergo a shutdown.

President Barack Obama and speaker of the House John Boehner are the major players in this ongoing back and forth, but the voices of the tea party’s Rep. Michele Bachmann and Alabama Rep. Jeff Sessions, are navigating the government to a shutdown. It is supposed to be a government for the people, but it’s turned into a government for certain people.

Is the government telling the people to kick rocks? Well, we aren’t going for that.

Rep. Michele Bachmann

“I cannot vote for the current compromise that we’re looking at,” she said. “I don’t think it is sufficient, because, primarily, it doesn’t include the defunding of Obamacare.”

Sen. Jeff Sessions

Republican Senator Jeff Sessions comes to the defense of the tea party telling anyone who’ll listen, “I am really offended that Chuck Schumer and the democratic leadership, Harry Reid and others, are demonizing the Tea Party.”

Rep. John Fleming

Louisiana Rep. Fleming and tea party caucus member told MSNBC, “We’re simply waiting for the Democrats, they’ve offered absolutely nothing in return, so the ball is in their court.”

Wrong. To say that no offer has been offered is a lie.

As Sen. Harry Reid has stated, the Democrats have moved in steps from President Obama’s proposal which is $73 billion less, or about $33 billion less than current spending. The offers are there, but the tea party Republicans don’t want to compromise.

Dick Morris

Morris is a conservative political pundit who is an avid mouthpiece for the tea party. Fanning the flames of a pending government shutdown, Morris challenges the Republican leadership not to bend over and take a deal, or else they will upset the tea party Republicans who won’t retreat from the $61 billion in cuts.  “They will be sustained by a massive outpouring of opposition to any compromise by their ground troops.”

“By trying to do Harry Reid’s work and jamming a compromise down the throats of the freshmen and tea party Republicans, Boehner, Cantor, Ryan and Rogers all risk a profound division in the party.” So there shouldn’t be a compromise to fit the tea party’s guidelines?

Again, the tea party is holding the government hostage for their personal gains, not for the country.

The tea party needs to kick rocks and go home!
