Jeopardy host Alex Trebek was a victim of burglary as he chased a would be robber down the hallway of the San Francisco hotel. The 71 year Jeopardy moderator was in town to host geography quiz game.

“Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek suffered an agonizing injury Wednesday while chasing after a burglar at a San Francisco hotel, according to a new report.
The TV veteran sprang into action after a female crook entered his room and tried to swipe cash and other items including a treasured bracelet given to him by his mother.
He gave chase along a hallway but collapsed in pain after his Achilles tendon suddenly snapped, hurting his other leg as he fell, KGO-TV reported.
Trebek, 71, recalled the dramatic 2:30am local time confrontation as he hosted a geography quiz hours later — on crutches.

The robbery suspect Alex Trebek chased down, 56 year old Lucinda Moyers. She was charged with burglary and receiving stolen property.
