A Nutley, New Jersey mother identified as Patricia Krentcil has been arrested for allegedly putting her 5-year-old daughter in a tanning booth.

According to Fox News, the little girl told her school’s nurse she was suffering from sunburns after going “tanning with mommy.” Patricia denied the accusations made by officers saying:
“There’s not room … I would never permit it … It didn’t happen. It’s preposterous.”
She is facing charges of second-degree endangerment of a child and is maintaining the whole thing is a misunderstanding.
Krentcil said the child’s sunburn was a result of playing outside on a sunny day.
