Dead man walking.

DETAILS: Ummm? Amanda Bynes Wants Drake To “Murder” Her Lady Parts!

Raymond Roth, 48, of Massapequa, New York, has pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge after faking his death last summer.

Roth was first reported missing off the waters of Jones Beach late July by his son and alleged accomplice, Jonathan Roth. Investigators exercised all options to find the missing father and husband, but rather than finding him miles deep in the ocean, Roth was found in South Carolina, alive and well.

Roth was pulled over by authorities for speeding in South Carolina a day before his wife showed authorities emails suggesting her husband’s plans to fake his death.

The email read, “There needs to be a way for me to find out how things are going. Call me Sunday night at 8PM at the resort.”

According to Nassau County District Attorney, Kathleen Rice, it is suspected that Roth wanted his wife and son to collect at least $410,000 in life insurance benefits while he fled to Florida. Roth recently lost his job and had hoped his fake death would provide for his family.

Both Roth and his son were arrested on charges of insurance fraud, conspiracy and filing a false report. Roth pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charges in a deal that would require him to serve only 90 days in jail and five years on probation. He also has to pay back the U.S Coast Guard $27,445 and the Nassau County Police Department $9,109 for the extensive search to find his missing body.

Roth is taking full responsibility for his actions despite his alleged history of bipolar disorder. He has pleaded with the courts not to give his son any jail time.
