Mitt Romney can’t seem to grab hold of the Republican Party as we head into the 2012 election.

STORY: It’s On! Dates Announced For Three Presidential Debates

There always seems to be something going on with the GOP candidate. Either he won’t reveal his tax info, he’s against Obamacare (which is eerily similar to the plan he enacted while Governor of Massachusetts), or he never says the right thing, as evidenced by his insults against the Palestinians during a recent trip to Israel.

STORY: Tax Returns & Offshore Accounts! How Does Money Mitt Romney Do It?

There’s something about Mitt that turns people off. He’s like John Kerry from the 2004 Presidential election; but this time, Romney’s swift boating himself.

Newsweek’s cover this week is calling Romney a wimp, focusing on his insecurities and inability to open up to the American people.

The thing is, he’s brought this all on himself. Romney has continually dug himself a hole this election season. Sure, he torpedoed his way through the comical class of Republican representatives, but this is the home stretch and Mitt still doesn’t have a grasp on his own party.

All this leads us to believe Romney won’t be winning come November, even though he may put up a fighting chance. Here’s why…

Romney’s aloofness on his past tax returns continues to be a point of contention, as the murky details on his 2009 filings remain a mystery.

When interviewed by ABC News, Romney was asked about his secret tax returns and if he’s ever paid a rate lower than 13.9 percent. Romney’s answer:

“I haven’t looked at the tax rate paid year by year. I know that I pay a very substantial amount of taxes and every year since the beginning of my career so far as I can recall.”

What are you hiding Mitt? Come clean before something secretive puts a nail in your coffin.

The flip-flop factor will also cost Romney in November. He and his wife Ann have written numerous checks in support of Planned Parenthood; yet now he opposes them.

On immigration, he once supported a path to citizenship, now, not so much.

Romney flip-flops mid sentence and doesn’t realize it.

You can call it growing and changing your opinion on a subject, but then there’s appealing to your base. We think it’s the latter.

A week ago, the Romney campaign was accused of buying Twitter followers after it was revealed that he gained more than 75,000 followers in less than a day.

140elect.com, which tracks the Twitter presence of presidential candidates, noticed the spike in Romney followers and launched a full investigation into the matter.

Romney’s peeps denied the accusation. Hit him up @MittRomney.

While in Israel, Romney praised the country’s health care system, which is a medical plan that has been socialized since its founding in 1948.

Under an Israeli health care system:

Every Israeli citizen is entitled to health care services under the National Health Insurance Law.

Every resident has a right to register as a member of an HMO of his/her choice, free of any preconditions or limitations stemming from his/her age or the state of his/her health.

Yet Romney rallies against Obamacare, which is similar to the health care plan he enacted in Massachusetts, and praises the Israeli system, which is socialized. Where do you stand Mitt?

One thing about Romney, he’s got guts. But guts aren’t enough when it comes to the grimy game of politics.

He told the NAACP that if elected President, he would repeal “Obamacare.” This declaration doesn’t make any sense considering that Obamacare is similar to the health care plan he had in Massachusetts and he told that to a group of people that weren’t going to vote for him anyway.

Romney is getting that CEO money once again, distancing himself from everyday hard working Americans.

NBC News reports that the top corporations have thrown their financial support to Romney over Obama by more than a 4-1 margin, according to a review of federal records.

Big Money Mitt is still a rich guy at heart, as the CEOs continue to pump money into his campaign.
