In case you forgot, Happy Africa Day, y’all!

Africa Day is celebrated in commemoration of the May 25, 1963 founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) after 30 of 32 independent African states signed an accord in Addis Adaba, Ethiopia in a show of Unity among the continent’s states.

In celebration of this annual event, we thought we’d take a look at Africa and its diaspora’s most visible women, some of whom you may know: Iman, Alek Wek, Liya Kibede, Ajak Deng and more. Enjoy!
