As interesting as we are finding this new fashion “beef,” we hope this is the end of it!

For those of you who have not been following the Kidult vs. Marc Jacobs saga, Kidult started it all by spraying the word “ART” across Marc Jacob’s store on Mercer Street in New York.

Marc must have found out about the artist, and his habit of selling shirts with his “finished work” and beat him to the chase by selling his own shirt with a picture of the storefront on it for a whopping $689. Initially it was thought that the two were working together; Marc has a long history of working with artists, but that was not the case this time.

As retaliation for Marc making an astronomical profit on Kidult’s art, that oddly enough usually has an “anti-consumerism” theme, Kidult has come up with a shirt of his own for only £6.89 (or $8.78). In order for Kidult to avoid a counterfeiting charge, Kidult used the image of him in the act of spraying ART across the storefront on his t-shirt, with the caption “Not Art By Kidult” across the bottom.

Kidult’s shirt will be available for sale today at 3PM EST vid Kidult’s online store. You can take a look at the shirts that Kidult is selling in both a white and soft pink colorway in the gallery above.
