“Back then they didn’t want me. Now I got a Grammy they all on me…”

An altered variation of Mike Jones’ lyrics can be used to explain exactly how the world of fashion is embracing Frank Ocean. He went from struggling with labels to putting out his own mixtapes, and then of course, coming out from being the underdog and subsequently sweeping the Grammys…and from the Grammy stage he went straight to the front row of Paris Fashion Week.

Fashion Week kicked off in New York City back in January and continued on to the other fashion capitals of the world with a bevvy of celebrities sprinkled in every single front row. From the bloggers of the web-o-sphere, to the expected faces of the Jessica Albas, the Kanye Wests and the Kim Kardashians, Fashion Month didn’t serve up many surprises – until Frank Ocean showed up.

The infamously private Frank, who makes it known that he isn’t a fan of interviews and plays it pretty close when it comes to sharing things on social media, was one of the refreshing, yet unexpected, faces at Paris Fashion Week. While the subject of what the New Orleans native was draped in was previously moot, a few front row seats later and he is the style blogger’s man to watch.

Suddenly his t-shirt and camo jeans combo are critiqued in fashion publications, along with “get the looks” for how to acquire Frank’s Fashion Week outfits, and slowly but surely, Frank may be snatching Kanye’s fashion king crown.

During Paris Fashion Week, Frank was spotted in the front row at five shows – Dior (who dressed him for the Grammys), Givenchy, Margiela, Chanel, and Valentino – The heaviest of the heavy hitters when it comes to fashion.

But when it comes to accepting the embrace that comes with the fashion realm and the corresponding jargon, Frank plays it safe and sticks to his proven art: impeccable attention to sound.

When asked what his favorite thing from the runway was, Frank answered: “I went to Givenchy and I loved the noise that the sheer dresses made.”

How could the fashion world not want to embrace that?
