If Karl Lagerfeld wasn't widely known as a "Jack of All Trades" this might sound a little out of left field. But the Chanel Creative Director's latest project won't be with clothing, but rather on a movie set in collaboration with Hollywood heavyweight, Harvey Weinstein.
The two will work together on a short film, where the star will be determined by the highest bid at the upcoming Cinema Against AIDS gala by amfAR.
Weinstein will produce and Lagerfeld will direct a short film starring the highest bidder. The prize will be offered during the auction at the black-tie benefit at Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France, on Thursday.
Lagerfeld and Weinstein are among the event chairs along with Alec Baldwin, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Milla Jovovich, Carine Roitfeld, Michel Hazanavicius, Bérénice Bejo, Ryan Kavanaugh and Kenneth Cole.
Let's hope that the person who happens to win the auction, not only has deep pockets, but some acting chops as well. We don't need Uncle Karl getting frustrated. Lord knows he has a million other things to work on!
