Just when you think Nike has done everything they can to make their products lighter or more environmentally friendly, they go and outdo themselves once again.
Nike has unveiled the new kits (jerseys) for some of the leading football nations in the world, including Croatia, France, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and the US. Not only are the jerseys made out of 23 percent lighter fabric, they are also 20 percent stronger.

Each kit is constructed using Nike Dri-FIT technology to wick moisture and is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles.
The shirts also feature laser-cut ventilation holes to promote localized cooling, to help regulate player temperatures during a match.
The visual design of each federation kit is inspired by the national identity and the distinctive football culture of every nation. Rich detailing throughout the jersey and shorts inspires the history and heritage of each team.

These updated kits are said to be the most environmentally friendly ever. It almost makes us feel bad for the teams who aren’t wearing these kits, which are available now at Nike Soccer retail locations.
