We don't know whether to see this as an honor or a bit morbid. Either way, Playboy is showing love to one of their most famous cover girls in a very big way.

In remembrance of the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's untimely passing, Playboy will be releasing a special December issue featuring an expansive collection of rare Marilyn Monroe nude photos.

In reference to the special edition of the magazine, Playboy editorial director Jimmy Jellinek says:

“This is the first time we’ve shown the totality of our collection, from the beginning to almost days before the end of her life. it showcases the arc of her life.”
