This is a moment Kanye West will look back on to remind his offspring that he and mom were once very, very cool...even when kids reach that age of thinking parents are all boring and stuff.
Kim Kardashian has proven she isn't going to let pregnancy slow her down, and she's surely enjoying her new figure with baby bump in tow.
Kim K. served as Bruce Weber's muse in his Miami home for the cover of the new luxury magazine Dujour. Kimmy didn't have her glam squad on hand, no designer clothes, just her, a few cameras and a lot of towels, but she was open to trying new things for her first photo shoot following the pregnancy announcement.
However, it seems like stylists have an issue when it comes to dressing Kim for editorials: Brands don't want to come up off their goods for the reality TV starlet.
Fashionista got the chance to catch up with Dujour's co-editor Keith Pollock to ask about the rumor:
"Yeah. I think there’s some hesitation to work with Kim just because she doesn’t necessarily fit with most luxury brands’ visions. Luckily with Bruce, we didn’t try to create a fashion shoot. Formichetti was really trying to position her as a fashion force but we went the opposite way. It was about showing her in more a natural way. We went really minimal with makeup. There are very few fashion credits. In one shot she’s wearing towels.
And despite the hesitation from these brands – Kim is still wearing Gucci and Chanel and Lanvin even if they’re not lending it to her. She can buy them. So we thought, “Let’s not make this a fashion story.”
Kim should play it smart and not buy or wear brands that don't want to be associated with her fashion shoots. She may not be the ideal selection for brand representation, but the truth is, Kim Kardashian has a following that takes note of her every move!
Here is what Kim had to say in the corresponding interview:
On going through her divorce from Kris Humphries:
“Going through a divorce for anybody is devastating and heartbreaking, and then to have to do it and feel like you have to explain what is happening is such an awkward thing.”
On her pregnancy:
“I just feel so blessed and excited and ready for the next phase.”
On her privacy:
“My boyfriend [Kanye West] has taught me a lot about privacy. I’m ready to be a little less open about some things, like my relationships. I’m realizing everyone doesn’t need to know everything. I’m shifting my priorities.”
Styling drama and divore talk aside, take a look at the lovely, natural photos of Kim from the shoot in the gallery above.
