Kanye West famously rapped “What’s that jacket…Margiela?” in his controversially titled arena anthem, “N*ggas In Paris.”
Well, a lot more people may be able to say that their jacket is Margiela now, since it’s rumored that the next high end company set to do a collaboration with Swedish fashion giant H&M is none other than Maison Martin Margiela.

Although Mr. Martin Margiela stepped down in 2009, the in-house staff of the Parisian fashion house has been cranking out avant garde pieces as if the designer was still there.
We don’t know how well the Margiela attention to detail will translate in the fast fashion word of H&M, but what we do know is that we actually don’t know anything at all!
H&M refused to comment on the collaboration, telling WWD that they “never comment on rumors,” although we feel like had the rumor not been true, they may have just said that.

Either way, following past collaborations with the likes of Lanvin, Versace, Comme des Garcons and Viktor & Rolf, Margiela will be in good company and the future consumer has nothing to worry about and everything to look forward to.
