<p> </p><p>This whole “irony is cool” thing is sort of getting out of hand. Apparently tourists in Los Angeles are paying $65 to go on LA gang turf tours. The organizer–a former gangbanger himself–has brokered a special “no shooting zone” agreement during the hours the tour is in operation.</p><p> </p><p>All participants have to sign a waiver because, y’know, they just might get shot. It’s the hipster equivalent to skydiving.</p><p>Dubbed “ghettotainment,” by the community, the tour makes 11 stops at places like various jails, noted crime scenes in South Central and other gang hubs past and present. The organizer plans to use the funds raised by the tours to develop micro-loans for area small businesses.</p>
