More women should have dogs in their lives and I’m not talking about a man who will cheat on them and sleep with their best friends. 106th and Park’s Rocsi Diaz got sexy to help PETA promote animal adoption. I have the chance to talk to Rocsi about her PETA ad and the importance of animal adoption check it out below.

BLOGXILLA: So you did the PETA Ad,  How did you hook up with the people from PETA?

Rocsi: Well they heard I have a dog and heard that I’m a huge HUGE animal lover and I am an animal activist so some degree, so they reached out and asked me my story about how I grew up with a bunch of animals. A lot of people don’t know that when I was raised and grew up in Honduras, my grandmother had a farm so I always had a lot of animals around me. So I was always a big animal lover, and that was just it, they wanted to hear my story.

BX:  How was the photo shoot? I know when I see a lot of PETA ad’s they’re very bare, and you actually have on clothes so how did you guys come up with the concept for the PETA ad?

Rocsi: See that’s the thing, the difference between the different type of PETA ads and campaigns. You can be an activist for different causes. Like some people are activists for the no fur campaign, and that’s the one where you see that people are naked. The campaign that I’m gunning for is the adoption campaign, where you adopt dogs that are in need of homes, you know that are look for homes.

ROCSI: Instead of buying from a mill or a pet store or thru a breeder, you can buy a thoroughbred dog right from an adoption agency, so that’s pretty much the cause that I am for. They also have other causes that are against horse brutality in city parks. You hear a lot of people trying to get the carriages off the streets with the horses because they really mis-abuse their horses. They have the elephants campaign, where they’re really trying to get elephants better treatment during the circus acts. So people get it confused like “oh PETA, She’s getting naked”, that’s not exactly the case. It’s for the different cause that you’re actually supporting. And anybody can log on and support any type of cause that they want.

BX: Being that you host 106 & Park, and a lot of rappers are like really ignorant and not sensitive to animal rights… from things like dog fighting to wearing fur coats in their video, how does it make you feel being in that world and being in PETA’s world as well?

Rocsi: Well for me it’s more about, I’m gonna stick in the lane that I know, which is animal adoption, trying to find pets that are in need of loving homes, and have the same opportunities as a brand new puppy. Now for the over excessiveness, I’m not for fighting dogs, I’m not for that, I’m not for cock fighting, or anything that puts an animal in a position where it has to fight for their life and I think that it’s cruel and that it’s helpless. And that’s the only thing these animals know they breed these animals to do that, so those type of people and that type of promotion, I’m not for, that’s just not me, you know what I’m saying. Now to each is own in their way of clothing, now I’m not gonna lie, I own some leather shoes and some leather pants, but it’s to the extreme that you want to take it
