Here’s the Tea: The film version of Perry’s hit play by the same title is now in theaters. The Tyler Perry creation, loved by millions, is dispensing whippings and common sense.
Here’s some more Tea: After she is diagnosed with a terminal illness, Madea’s niece Shirley, played by Loretta Divine, enlists her help in rounding up Shirley’s three children, all of whom have issues of their own: Tammy has a broken marriage, Byron is an ex-con tempted to sell drugs again, and Kimberly has anger issues. Using her wit and drive, Madea rounds up the Shirley’s clan for a meeting and lessons about family and drugs are learned by all.
