Cinco de Mayo, or the 5th of May, is celebrated nationwide in the United States and regionally in Mexico, primarily in the state of Puebla. The date is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride and to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy during the first years of the American Civil War.

However, like most holidays that are celebrated in America, it has become a day to get completely drunk and party well into the 6th of May. Being that tequila is probably Mexico’s leading alcoholic export, it’s only fitting that tequila be the drink of choice on Cinco de Mayo.

Tequila, made from blue agave, is not only a blast to drink, but its bottles have also become the center of attention in some cases. Taking the shape of everything from your average cylinder shaped bottle to an AK-47 rifle, the tequila bottle may be more than just what holds your hooch, it could be something you may want to hold on to.

Here’s our list of a few wild tequila bottles that may interest you more than the tequila itself.

Stallion Anejo Tequilla

Shaped like the head of a horse, probably because it’ll make you have to pee like one later on.

Nueva Era Anejo Tequila

Tequila in the shape of a circle. Maybe you can put it around your arm and drink on the go from the convenient spot on top.

Casta Gusano Anejo Tequila

Shaped like the worm that you always hear about being in the bottom of a tequila bottle.

Dona Carlota Reposado Tequila

We don’t even know how you would go about opening this egg shaped bottle. Maybe after you finish the booze and turn it around so that the label didnt show, you could tell people it was a Faberege egg.

XQ Tequila Anejo

Puts a whole new spin on, “getting together with your ex.”

They say that everything is bigger in Texas, including the idea behind this bottle.

KAH Day of The Dead edition Tequila

Blanco (left) and Reposado (right)

Hijos De Villa Pistol Tequila

Probably the only gun that’s safe for you to have in your mouth while drinking

Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Tequila

Probably the most expensive tequila bottles ever, made out of actual silver, gold and platinum.  We don’t know if we could get drunk enough to spend that much on just the bottle, hopefully the tequila inside makes it worth your while.
