Naomi Campbell looks like she will be headed back to court! Don’t fret, however, because the supermodel is the one who will be doing the suing this time.

Campbell is outraged that chocolate makers Cadbury have used her name in a advertisement promoting their Dairy Milk Bliss bar. The ad reads, “Move over Naomi, there’s a new diva in town. I’m the world’s most pampered bar.”

“I am shocked. It’s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all Black women and Black people,” Campbell said in a statement over the weekend.

“I do not find any humor in this. It is insulting and hurtful.”

Cadbury released a statement stating that the ad was “a light-hearted take on the social pretensions of Cadbury Dairy Milk Bliss.”

The ad is no longer in circulation, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping Campbell. She has enlisted UK activist group Operation Black Vote to draw attention to this issue and to try and persuade people to boycott the brand.

“It’s particularly galling because we’ve just had a week that saw the establishment fall over themselves to be close to the Obamas and yet Black people are being derided in such an insulting and negative way,” said Simon Wooley, director and one of founders of Operation Black Vote

Campbell’s mother, Valerie Morris, is also very upset. “I’m deeply upset by this racist advert. Do these people think they can insult black people and we just take it? This is the 21st century, not the 1950s. Shame on Cadbury,” she stated.

Do you think that Naomi has a case or is this another case of her anger getting the best of her?
